Krasnodar Region launches its first interregional agritourism tour

The new Holidays with Flavours tour has been launched by a Krasnodar-based tour operator with the support from the region’s Industrial Development Fund.

The two-day tour will include visits to leading enterprises in the Krasnodar Region and the Republic of Adygea. Participants will learn about the full cycle of modern production, from raw materials to finished products.

«The launch of the first interregional tour is an important step in implementing the roadmap for the development of industrial tourism in the Krasnodar Region. We are steadily moving towards making the region’s industrial sector not only a driver of economic growth, but also an open platform for learning about modern technologies. By combining the potential of two neighbouring regions, we are demonstrating that industrial tourism can become a hallmark not only of an individual region, but of the whole of southern Russia. We plan to significantly expand the number of enterprises open to visitors,» said Dmitry Khmelko, Minister of Industrial Policy of the Krasnodar Region.

The tour combines industrial, business, and gastronomic tourism, while introducing participants to the industrial potential of both regions and the cultural traditions of southern Russia. The programme includes visits to the AST-Mebel furniture factory, the Ochakovo production facility, the Sibiryak modular home manufacturing plant, and two agritourism destinations, the Sady Predgoria Kavkaza fruit orchard and the Seversky Rybkhoz fish farm. Tourists will also visit tea plantations in Adygea, the Adyge Un cheese dairy, and Maikop’s oldest enterprise, the Piteiny Dom distillery.

«The development of industrial tourism will help unlock the full potential of the Krasnodar Region’s agro-industrial sector. This will not only make the region more attractive to investors and tourists, but will also serve an important educational role: residents and visitors to the Krasnodar Region will be able to see firsthand the advanced technologies used by our agricultural enterprises and judge the quality of their products for themselves. Moreover, visits to agricultural enterprises will help to promote careers in agriculture, which is one of the region’s economic priorities,’ said Fyodor Dereka, Minister of Agriculture and the Processing Industry.
