International forum Bioprom to be held in Gelendzhik on October 6–7

Krasnodar Region co-organizes the event. Preparations for one of Russia’s leading innovation forums were discussed at a meeting chaired by Vice Governor Alexander Ruppel.

«Our region has become a platform for global and domestic manufacturers and institutions working on technologies for human use. Last year, we proudly hosted the first-ever forum that brought together four innovation exhibitions spanning biotechnology, medicine and pharmaceuticals, the food industry, retail, and HoReCa sectors. This unique event serves as a dynamic space where Kuban’s manufacturers and scientific community come together to sign agreements aimed at promoting industrial technologies and developing new products. This year, around 10 industrial companies, along with leading developers and scientists from the region, will present their latest achievements and capabilities at the regional booth,» said Alexander Ruppel.

The vice governor also noted that regional producers will present their products under the Biotechmed and Cosmetic Component tracks. These are organized by the Ministry of Industrial Policy and the regional Industry Development Fund. Exhibits will include surgical suture materials, sterile disposable sets for hemodialysis, syringe and infusion pumps, cosmetics, and professional household chemicals produced in Kuban.

«For the first time, we will present comenic acid, a unique development by Kuban State Medical University and RIVIERA BIOTECH. This substance, promising for medical and pharmaceutical applications, is currently not produced in Russia. It may form the basis for medicines, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and other products possessing antibacterial and wound-healing properties,» Ruppel said.

The forum will host an extensive business program with about 40 sessions covering various sectors — from implementing national high-tech projects to industrial development trends. The flagship strategic session ‘Technologies for Life’ will focus on innovation integration in pharmaceuticals, waste management, and food industry. Participants will include Russian government representatives, heads of major international companies, and scientific centers.
